Not long ago, execution was the constraint.
You needed whole teams from different disciplines just to ship something.
Now it’s not anymore.
AI can execute.
Faster. Cheaper. At scale. On every area. No distinction.
The struggle today
I’m seeing many teams and individuals struggling with this.
They are “optimized” for execution, for doing.
Not for thinking.
I’m seeing people not even trying.
Just “working” to “deliver what they’ve been told.”
Or just doing things to still feel important.
Not even caring when everyone around them is saying “hey, this is not good.”
What remains valuable
But if execution became cheaper, does that mean all those people are irrelevant?
No.
It’s just that we need to understand the real value, again:
- Direction.
- Judgment.
- Context.
Knowing what is relevant to BUILD. Knowing why it matters. Knowing when to move, to do it.
Execution is still needed.
But it’s no longer the differentiator.
Now, more than ever, the years of experience you have is becoming less and less relevant on its own.
It’s more about the skills you’ve built: the ability to think, to plan, to understand as an individual. And also to lead, to evaluate, to guide your team, to collaborate.
With context. With judgment. With direction.
Like it always has been.
It was never about the AMOUNT of knowledge. It was always about the ability to connect everyone and everything with logic.
THINKING is the work.
The differentiator has moved. Most people still haven’t noticed.
