The Problem of AI Is Not AI

March 23, 2026

“What do we do NOW!!!?”

Nothing else but uncomfortable silence.

“Just tell me what to do and I’ll do it.”

Everyone froze. No movement. No decisions. No coordination.

“If AI can write my code better than me… then what are we going to do?”

Sepulcral silence again.

The delusion

“I deliver a lot of tickets!!! I’m great”

That’s the fear.

If the only thing I do is write code, and AI does it faster and better — of course I should be worried.

That’s a reality, but what it reflects is deeper.

The problem isn’t AI. The problem is your value.

If your value comes from merely execution and NOT thinking — of course you’re at risk.

The valuable asset

The value comes from the context:

AI can generate parts.

But the amalgam… That’s human.

Do you know one of those people that move mountains?

That’s only human, and it comes thanks to empathy

A bigger and costlier problem

Someone told me: “But we have Codex, we can just ask it about the project…”

Yes, you can.

But AI only sees what is implemented. It doesn’t understand the business. It doesn’t know the goal.

It can explain. Analyze. Even improve.

But only if you know what to ask.

Only if you bring context.

The old unreliable

Like an old classic movie, the defacto problems:

These problems were always there.

The REAL PROBLEM

Is this only a developer problem? Or also a “leadership” problem?

Because if your job is to think, to give direction, to provide context…

and you reduce it to copy-paste…

then yes, AI will replace you.

It won’t care about your title, your position, or how many things you’re delivering.

AI is not the problem. It just makes it visible.

The problem… is us.
